Chaz Williams is an artist based in South Africa whose works have been exhibited nationally. His distinctive portraits translate both complex and simple emotions, revealing strength through hardship, the ability to overcome, or the preservation of innocence.

"I’m Chaz, a Cape Town-based contemporary artist. I dedicate myself to the exploration of popular issues and cultures.

A large part of my artistic influence is political as well as corporate.

An even larger part of my art is done on behalf of charity. I’m proud to say that I’ve raised 100’s of thousands for charity through art sales in South Africa.

I’ve found a love of and success in portraits. The power of a portrait is something that cannot be described or explained but rather enjoyed and felt. Art is fun, serious, playful, striking, emotive and powerful all in one. It’s there for everyone and for every purpose."
